Calvin University swept the Anderson University softball team on Monday in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The Knights (16-4) took a 5-2 victory against the Ravens (3-13) in Game 1. Calvin then put together an 8-0 win in five innings during Game 2.
In Game 1, Chloe Closser (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) and Kyleigh Lowry (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) provided RBI singles while Ally Hall (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) turned in a single.
During Game 2, Lexi Rankin (Greenfield, Ind./Greenfield-Central) contributed a double while Jayden Brown (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights), Paige Wickard (Wilkinson, Ind./Eastern Hancock) and Taylor Johnson (Danville, Ind./Covenant Christian) tallied singles.
Anderson, which holds a 2-2 record in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play, clashes with Manchester University (3-15, 1-3) in an HCAC doubleheader on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in North Manchester.
