The Anderson University softball team shut out Monmouth College with a 1-0 victory on Friday in Clermont, Fla.
Anderson holds a 1-0 record this season while Monmouth dropped to 1-9.
Hadley Decker (1-0) tossed a shutout. The senior from New Haven struck out four batters, issued two walks and gave up four hits in seven innings.
Kerrigan McClain went 2-for-2 with a double for the Ravens. Taylor Johnson, Tara Morey and Brooke Walden rounded out Anderson's five hits with singles. Walden also stole a base.
D.J. Martz drove in Morey on an RBI groundout in the top of the first inning.
