Anderson University men's basketball junior Tate Ivanyo garnered College Sports Communicators (CSC) Third-Team Academic All-American honors, which was announced by the CSC on Wednesday.
Ivanyo earned Academic All-American recognition for the second time in his career after also being named a CSC Third-Team Academic All-American as a sophomore.
"I'm very happy that Tate continues to be recognized for his efforts," Coach Carter Collins said. "We all see Tate's athletic abilities on Wednesdays and Saturdays at OC Lewis, but he's quietly just as impressive in the classroom, and he's extremely deserving of being on this list. He is the embodiment of what we want an AU athlete to be."
"I'm extremely grateful to have been selected for this award," Tate Ivanyo said. I am thankful for God blessing me and putting me in this position. And I couldn't have done it without the support of my teammates, coaches, friends and family."
