Ravens Dominate Second Half in Win against Lions

The Anderson University men's basketball team (11-4, 6-2) dominates the second half against Mount St. Joseph University Lions (4-11, 4-4) by a score of 75-56 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

Anderson extends its winning streak over the Lions to nine, dating back to the 2018-19 season. 

COACH CARTER COLLINS'S COMMENTS

I thought we adjusted really well throughout the game. The first 12 minutes or so didn't go at all how we wanted, but we did a good job of making the necessary changes as we went. We had some great moments in the second half, and got big contributions from nearly everybody who took the court.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Entering halftime with a 34-32 lead, the Ravens outscored the Lions 41-24 in the second half.
• The Lions committed 18 turnovers to the Ravens' four. The Ravens outscored the Lions 19-0 off turnovers.
• Anderson's four turnovers are the fewest since Jan. 11, 2020 against Franklin.
• The Ravens converted 28-of-67 (41.8 percent) on shots from the field, while the Lions hit 20-of-50 (40.0 percent) attempts from the floor. 
• During the second half, the Ravens shot 15-of-33 (45.4 percent) from the field while the Lions were limited to 6-of-24 (25.0 percent) shooting in the second half.
• Anderson hit 8-of-29 (27.6 percent) shots from 3-point range while Mount St. Joseph converted 2-of-16 (12.5 percent) attempts from the perimeter.
• Anderson stole the ball 12 times throughout the game, while Mount St. Joseph gathered three steals.
