Anderson Powers Past Franklin

The Anderson University men's basketball team (13-8, 11-3) powered past Franklin College (12-9, 8-6) with a 77-58 wire-to-wire victory during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

COACH CARTER COLLINS'S COMMENTS

This was a perfect "get right" game for us to get back on track. I was pretty happy with how we executed on both sides of the ball, and we got great contributions from everyone - to the point where it was difficult for me to pick who to play down the stretch. Now that we've got a little momentum going again, we'll look to finish the season strong, and that starts with our game on Wednesday night at home against Defiance.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Anderson knocked down 14-of-35 (40 percent) shots from 3-point range while Franklin was held to 22.7-percent (5-of-22) shooting from the perimeter.
• The Ravens converted 26-of-58 (44.8 percent) shots from the field while the Grizzlies hit 22-of-56 (39.3 percent) attempts from the floor.
• Anderson outscored Franklin 10-2 on fast-break points.
• The Ravens hit 11-of-20 (55 percent) shots from the free-throw line while the Grizzlies made 9-of-19 (47.4 percent) attempts.
