Anderson Rolls Past Bluffton

The Anderson University men's basketball team (6-2, 2-1) rolled past Bluffton University (2-5, 0-3) by a score of 81-61 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

COACH CARTER COLLINS'S COMMENTS

I was really happy with about 37 of the 40 minutes [on Saturday]. Similar to the Berea game, we took our foot off of the gas pedal at the end of the first half, and our margin shrunk considerably heading into the locker room. We really need to work to close out halves better. But outside of that stretch, I was pretty pleased. I thought we did a good job of sharing the ball on offense, and on the other side of the floor I thought our defense was relatively effective at preventing great looks.

• The Ravens went a perfect 15-for-15 from the free-throw line. Anderson was perfect from the free-throw line on at least 10 attempts for the sixth time in school history. The Ravens last accomplished this feat on Jan. 28, 2017.
• Anderson blocked 10 shots, recording double-digit blocks in a game for the second time this season and for the ninth time in school history.
• The Beavers made each of their 10 attempts from the charity stripe.

• The Ravens hit 8-of-26 (30.8 percent) shots from 3-point range while the Beavers made 7-of-24 (29.2 percent) attempts from the perimeter.
