Nine Anderson University softball players were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar Athletes, which was announced by the NFCA on Monday.
Nine Anderson University softball players were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar Athletes, which was announced by the NFCA on Monday.
Brianna Bell, Jayden Brown, Mabrey Buis, Taylor Johnson, Alexis Kern, Ariel Lee, Kyleigh Lowry, Alysa Marcin and Lexi Rankin each earned NFCA Scholar Athlete honors. The NFCA recognized softball players with at least a 3.50 GPA for the 2021-22 season. Bell, Brown, Buis, Johnson, Kern, Lee, Lowry and Marcin have received NFCA Scholar Athlete recognition in both years they have been eligible. Rankin earned NFCA Scholar Athlete honors for the first time.
Anderson also received the NFCA Team GPA Award for the second year in a row. The NFCA recognized softball teams with at least a 3.0 GPA for the 2021-22 year.
