Thirteen Anderson University softball players were tabbed National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar Athletes, which was announced by the NFCA on Tuesday.
Thirteen Anderson University softball players were tabbed National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar Athletes, which was announced by the NFCA on Tuesday.
Jayden Brown, Molly Buck, Makayla Durick, Brianna Fellers, Saige Fellers, Alayna Hart, Alysa Marcin, Rylee Morris, Faith Muterspaugh, Lexi Rankin, Mia Reinhard, Maddie Schoenradt and Hope Smith were each named NFCA Scholar Athletes. The NFCA recognized softball players that put together at least a 3.5 GPA for the 2022-23 school year. Brown and Marcin have been selected as NFCA Scholar Athletes all three years they have been eligible. Brianna Fellers, Saige Fellers, Hart, Reinhard, Schoenradt and Smith each were named NFCA Scholar Athletes in their first year of eligibility. Muterspaugh and Rankin are both two-time NFCA Scholar Athlete recipients while Buck, Durick and Morris are each receiving the accolades for the first time.
Anderson also received the NFCA Team GPA Award for the third year in a row. The NFCA recognized softball teams with at least a 3.0 GPA for the 2022-23 year.
