Guenin, Dungan Named to HCAC Fall Sportsmanship Team
Anderson University men’s cross country senior Gage Guenin and Anderson volleyball senior Lauren Dungan have been named as Anderson’s selections for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Fall Sportsmanship Team, which was announced on Tuesday.
Anderson University men's cross country senior Gage Guenin and Anderson volleyball senior Lauren Dungan have been named as Anderson's selections for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Fall Sportsmanship Team, which was announced on Tuesday.
The sportsmanship award was developed as part of a conference-wide sportsmanship initiative in 2009. Members of the All-HCAC Sportsmanship team for each championship season include two athletes from each member institution, each of whom are selected by their schools as individuals who represent values that are associated with positive sportsmanship on and off the field/court. Nominees must have demonstrated consistently values such as fairness, respect, integrity, support and positivity in their participation in intercollegiate athletics within the HCAC.
Other finalists for the HCAC Sportsmanship Award included women's cross country senior Jaycie Sones, football senior Connor Huffman, men's soccer sophomore Noah Neu and women's soccer senior Kylie Roberts.
