The Anderson University women's soccer team (3-5-2, 0-2) suffered a 3-0 defeat against Mount St. Joseph University (4-3-3, 2-0) in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play on Saturday in Cincinnati.
Anderson held strong defensively until Mount St. Joseph found the back of the net with just 15 seconds left in the first half. The Lions added two more goals in the second half, scoring in the 50th and 70th minutes.
For Anderson, Emily Wilusz and Natalie Hay both managed shots, with Natalie forcing the Lions' goalkeeper into a save. Jada Van Steenvoort played the full match in goal, making five saves.
Mount St. Joseph controlled the offensive stats, outshooting Anderson 11-2 in the first half and 6-0 in the second half. They also won the corner kick battle 12-1.
The Ravens travel to Richmond to face Earlham College (2-4-2, 1-1) in HCAC action on Wednesday, October 9 at 3:30 p.m.
