Hanover College earned a 2-1 win against the Anderson University women's soccer teams during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup at Macholtz Stadium.
"I was extremely proud of how we competed and the intensity we brought," Coach Jennifer Myhre said. "Our speed of play the first half was the best we've played and all across the field, we tracked their runs very well. Hanover is a very dynamic team and we knew we had to be disciplined, defend collectively and set the tempo."
Jessica Pulaski (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) converted a penalty kick in the 15th minute. The junior from Centerville, Ohio provided two shots and one shot on goal.
"Jessica putting away the PK gave us a spark and we had some close chances."
Taylor Fort (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) registered three shots and two shots on goal. Maggie Kolenic (Cleveland, Ohio/Newbury) produced a shot on goal while Brooke Neu (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) added a shot.
Elizabeth Graham (Riverside, Ohio/Carroll) saved two of the four shots she faced.
