Anderson Ties Goals Record, Cruises Past Defiance
The Anderson University women's soccer team (5-5-2, 2-2-1) used a full-force attack to earn an 8-0 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) victory against the Defiance College Yellow Jackets (2-8-2, 0-5) on Wednesday at Fridley Field.

Anderson's eight goals ties the single-game school record. The Ravens have produced eight goals in three other matches in program history.
Anhely Montes got the Ravens started with a goal less than four minutes into the match. Lillie Casey would add her first of the match 21 minutes in and between two own goals by Defiance during the 17th and 25th minutes. Before the half was over Emily Wilusz would add a pair of goals during the 30th and 35th minutes. Lillie Wessel added a pair of goals off to finish the scoring in the second half, during the 69th and 80th minutes.
The Ravens put a whopping 39 shots (23 shots on goal) toward the Yellow Jackets cage, while they would put six shots (two shots on goal) towards the Raven keepers. Sixteen different Ravens recorded a shot and all 4 active goalies played at least 20 minutes.
