[Saturday] showed the resiliency of this team and their determination on the field," Coach Jennifer Myhre said. "From warm-ups, we were ready and focused, and it showed in the way we pressed early and connected to get in. We talked about playing the splits and it was a great look by Taylor Fort to play Lauren and then follow up to shoot and have Lillie crash the goal. Mandy Williams has been a tremendous anchor in the midfield and her ability to turn and step strong started the buildup on the second goal. Taylor Fort battled hard to create the chance and finish. Lauren has had key moments all season and her finish from Kylie's strong service was just that. I'm proud of the team and it's a great result."
Fort notched a goal and an assist for three points. The senior from Pendleton tallied five shots and two shots on goal. Brown and Kyndall Ferguson each provided two shots and one shot on goal. Casey scored on her only shot. Anhely Montes, Brooke Neu, Hannah Thompson and Paige Tomallo each added shots to round out Anderson's 14 shots.
Emmalee Paarlberg started the first half and saved four of the five shots she faced. Adrienne Weyers served in goal for the second half and saved three of the four shots she faced.
Anderson outshot Transylvania 14-13 and held a 9-5 advantage in shots on goal.
