Anderson Rolls Past Manchester
The Anderson University women's soccer team rolled past Manchester University with a 3-0 victory during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in North Manchester.

"It was great to find the back of the net as we've been close the past few games," Coach Jennifer Myhre said. "We knew it would come and have loved how the team keeps the faith and never gives up. They are playing well together as a team and it's awesome to see multiple players involved in the attack."

Anderson's lockdown defense has boasted five shutouts in 10 matches and has only allowed six goals so far this season.

"Our defense has really been strong all season and it's always good to get the clean sheet."

Tori Baver (Garrett, Ind./Garrett) connected on a goal assisted by Kaitlyn Revell (Louisville, Ky./Assumption) 32 minutes into the match. Harper Manion (Lebanon, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) found the back of the net after capitalizing off passes from Abbey Woodcock (Reading, Ohio/Reading) and Emily Stout (Grand Rapids, Mich./The Potter's House) during the 54th minute. Taylor Baker (Springfield, Ohio/Central Catholic) then provided a goal assisted by Emily Buchman (Fishers, Ind./Fishers) during the 69th minute of the match.

Reigning HCAC Defensive Player of the Week D'Anjrea Allen (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) posted her fourth shutout of the season and recorded two saves.

Morgan Reed (Haubstadt, Ind./Gibson Southern) tallied a team-high five shots. Hannah Planck (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) contributed four shots and Katie Essick (Harlem, Ga./Harlem) provided three shots. Baver and Revell turned in two shots apiece while Jessica Pulaski (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville), Bailey Dornbusch (Troy, Ohio/Troy), Manion, Brooke Neu and Baker each added shots.

Essick put together two shots on target while Reed, Manion, Planck, Neu, Baker, Baver and Revell each registered shots on goal.

Anderson (7-1-2, 1-0-1) outshot Manchester (0-11, 0-2) by a 21-5 margin and held a 9-2 advantage in shots on goal.

The Ravens clash with Mount St. Joseph University (5-4-2, 1-0-1) in conference action on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the AU Soccer Fields.
