Reed Delivers Late Goal, Anderson Outlasts St. Mary's
Anderson University women's soccer senior Morgan Reed (Haubstadt, Ind./Gibson Southern) delivered a goal in the 89th minute as the Ravens outlasted St. Mary's College (Ind.) in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday at Notre Dame.

Betsy Balish (Fountaintown, Ind./Triton Central) put the Ravens (1-0) on the board with an unassisted goal 1 minute, 9 seconds into the match. It took just 45 seconds Kellen Hinchey to respond and deliver an equalizer for the Belles (2-1). With less than two minutes remaining, Reed capitalized off passes from Emily Buchman (Fishers, Ind./Fishers) and Taylor Baker (Springfield, Ohio/Central Catholic) to finish the game-winning goal. Buchman and Baker tallied assists.

The Ravens outshot the Belles 24-6. Anderson also tallied 12 shots on goal.

Kaitlyn Revell (Louisville, Ky./Assumption) led the Ravens with three shots on goal. Harper Manion (Lebanon, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) and Reed provided two shots on target apiece while Jessica Pulaski (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville), Katie Essick (Harlem, Ga./Harlem), Buchman, Balish and Baker each registered a shot on goal.

Reed notched a team-high four shots. Baker, Revell and Manion each contributed three shots. Pulaski, Essick, Buchman and Balish each recorded two shots while Sabrina Morrison (Bloomington, Ind./South), Emily Stout (Grand Rapids, Mich./The Potter's House) and Hannah Planck (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) each added a shot.

D'Anjrea Allen (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) saw four shots and came up with three saves.

Lexi Trombley paced the Belles with two shots on goal. Hinchey and Rose Stackhouse turned in a shot on goal apiece.
