Fightin’ Engineers Pull Away from Ravens
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology netted three second-half goals to pull away from the Anderson University women’s soccer team with a 3-0 victory during Wednesday’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) match at Fridley Field.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology netted three second-half goals to pull away from the Anderson University women's soccer team with a 3-0 victory during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) match at Fridley Field.
Katie Choi produced a goal assisted by Alicia Rodriguez in the second minute of the second half to put Rose-Hulman (5-2-3, 2-0-1) on the board. Following a handball in the box, Kyra Hicks converted a penalty kick to give the Fightin' Engineers a 2-0 lead in the 56th minute. Rose-Hulman went ahead 3-0 in the 84th minute when Kiana Martin capitalized off a pass from Kiley McKee for a goal with McKee receiving an assist.
Lauren Brown and Taylor Fort each closed the match with two shots and one shot on goal. Lillie Casey and Mandy Williams tallied two shots apiece. Taylor Baker and Emily Wilusz each put their only shot on frame while Kyndall Ferguson, Meghan Foster and Anhely Montes each added a shot to round out Anderson's 13 shots.
Adrienne Weyers saved five of the eight shots she faced.
Rose-Hulman outshot Anderson (5-3-2, 2-1) by a 17-13 margin and held an 8-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The Ravens battle Bluffton University (2-7-1, 1-2) in HCAC action on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Bluffton, Ohio.
