Ravens Fall to Panthers Comeback in HCAC Opener
The Anderson University women’s soccer team (3-4-2, 0-1) fell to a Hanover College (6-2, 1-0) comeback in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action by a score of 2-1 on Sunday at Macholtz Stadium.

The Anderson University women's soccer team (3-4-2, 0-1) fell to a Hanover College (6-2, 1-0) comeback in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action by a score of 2-1 on Sunday at Macholtz Stadium.
The Ravens struck first in the contest when Caroline Hill got a shot past Emma Patterson, the Hanover Goalkeeper. Despite leading 1-0 at halftime, Hanover outshot the Ravens 10-2.
The Ravens continued to fend off the Panther pressure before Hanover scored goals in the 55th and 84th minutes. Hanover outshot the Ravens 27-3 throughout the match and 12-1 in shots on goal. Adrienne Weyers made 11 saves.
Hill was named Raven of the Game.
"Hanover is always a strong test and was pleased how we stayed disciplined and track their runners," Coach Jennifer Myhre said. "We knew that quick transition was key and it was a great shot by Caroline to put us up one. The backline was very solid and Adrienne played really well in net."
The Ravens continue HCAC action when they travel to Cincinnati to take on Mount St. Joseph University (3-3-3, 1-0) on Saturday, October 5, at 1:00 p.m.
