Southern Garners HCAC Pitcher-of-the-Week Honors

Anderson University baseball sophomore Landen Southern has garnered Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Pitcher-of-the-Week honors, which was announced by the conference on Monday.

Southern picked up HCAC Pitcher-of-the-Week accolades for the second time this season. He threw eight scoreless innings as Anderson (12-9, 2-4) shut out Earlham College (14-7, 4-2) by a score of 5-0 during Game 1 of Sunday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) doubleheader at Don Brandon Field. The sophomore from Lafayette struck out nine batters, issued five walks and allowed four hits.

Anderson hosts Wittenberg University (13-6) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Don Brandon Field.
