Anderson Sweeps Defiance on Senior Day

The Anderson University baseball team swept Defiance College in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) doubleheader on Sunday at Don Brandon Field.

Anderson (17-11, 7-4) fought past Defiance (3-18, 1-10) by a score of 4-3 in Game 1 behind a walk-off home run by Ben Brown. The Ravens capped the sweep by cruising past the Yellow Jackets 13-3 in eight innings.

Prior to the contest, Anderson recognized Collin Baer, Levi Brown, A.J. Bunnell, Jed Downham, Connor Gordon, Jacob Hoffman, Rylan Metz and Luke Renard for Senior Day.

COACH MATT BAIR'S COMMENTS

It's really been fun coaching a senior class with this much talent, yet even better character. I'm grateful for their leadership and contributions to the program throughout their four years and we are definitely in a better place as a program because of them. I'm also very thankful for each of their families and the love and support they have provided Anderson University Baseball. I know this class will go on in life and be greater than they have been here.
