Ravens Capture Walk-Off Win against Panthers in 10 Innings

The Anderson University baseball team (9-5) captured a 4-3 walk-off victory against Greenville University (4-9) by a score of 4-3 in 10 innings on Tuesday in Davenport, Fla.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Miggy Villalobos drove in a run on a groundout in the top of the second inning to put Greenville on the board.
• Connor Gordon scored in the bottom of the third on a baserunning play to even the score at 1-1.
• Greenville took the lead in the fourth when Villalobos drove in Landon Mokris on a sacrifice fly.
• In the fifth, Jed Downham smashed a home run to tie the game at 2-2. Trey Dorton then cracked an RBI single to put Anderson ahead 3-2.
• Mokris led off the top off the ninth with a single. Brexton Beard moved Mokris to second on a sacrifice bunt and Logan Doll singled Mokris to third. Villalobos knocked in Mokris to tie the game at 3-3. Doll was caught stealing to end the inning.
• In the bottom of the ninth, Cooper Webb walked and was advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt, but consecutive flyouts forced extra innings.
• With one out in the bottom of the 10th, Tyler Smitherman singled and advanced to second on a wild pitch.
• With two outs, Griffin Wolf singled in pinch runner Nate Kelly to seal a 4-3 victory in 10 innings.
