The Anderson University baseball team (8-5) outlasted Illinois Institute of Technology (1-6) by a score of 13-12 on Sunday in Auburndale, Fla.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trailing 4-2, Anderson plated 11 runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 13-4 lead.
- Illinois Tech countered with eight runs in the bottom of the seventh to cut the deficit to 13-12.
- In the bottom of the ninth, Michael Lindenmuth struck out but reached base on a passed ball.
- After Luke Yachnin pinch ran for Lindenmuth, Jack Friar singled Yachnin to third.
- Yachnin was caught stealing home on the final out to end the game.
- The Ravens outhit the Scarlet Hawks 13-12.
