Bio

The 2023-24 season will be Jovon McGraw’s seventh as a member of Anderson University’s coaching staff. Coach McGraw has been a part of winning programs for his entire playing and coaching career, and was privileged to play for three highly accomplished coaches. He was a highly decorated prep player at Anderson HS, where he played for Coach Ron Hecklinski, and was the leading scorer, captain, two-time North Central Conference champion, and sectional champion his senior season. He continued his career at Danville CC (Coach John Spezia) and then for Coach Doug Wagenmaster at Kirkwood CC, leading the team to a National Runner Up finish. After his college career, Coach McGraw returned the sidelines for four years as a member of the ACHS coaching staff. During that time the team collected two Madison County titles, and achieved a top-20 state ranking, and produced multiple Indiana Top-60 selections and college players.

Coach McGraw is a highly respected player development coach, who specializes in developing guards into shooters and scorers. During his time at Anderson University, he has been integral in the development of Trevor Lucas (all-conference, all-region), Stanley Duncan (all-conference), Malik Laffoon (all-conference), Maurice Knight (all-conference and defensive player of the year), and Ronny Williams.
