Bluffton
The Anderson University baseball team kicks off the double-elimination round of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament with a matchup against Bluffton University on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Lexington, Ky. at University of Kentucky's Proud Park.
Anderson (22-17), originally a No. 5 seed, has been reseeded to a No. 4 seed for the double-elimination round of the HCAC Tournament. The Ravens swept sixth-seeded Hanover College (20-20) by scores of 8-0 and 10-3 during the first round of the HCAC Playoffs.
Bluffton (18-22), originally a No. 8 seed, has been reseeded to a No. 5 seed for the double-elimination round of the HCAC Tournament. The Beavers knocked off third-seeded Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (23-14) in the opening round of the HCAC Playoffs with a two-game sweep. Bluffton grinded out an 11-10 victory in 11 innings during Game 1. The Beavers then locked up a 9-7 win in Game 2.
