Six Ravens Garner All-HCAC Recognition
Anderson University baseball standouts Justin Reed (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville), Branton Sanders (Whiteland, Ind./Whiteland), Kasey Henderson (Muncie, Ind./Cowan), T.J. Price (Anderson, Ind./Daleville), Grahm Reedy (Yorktown, Ind./Yorktown) and Bennie Day (Charlestown, Ind./Jeffersonville) each garnered first-team all-HCAC recognition, which was announced by the conference on Monday.

Price (Anderson, Ind./Daleville), Grahm Reedy (Yorktown, Ind./Yorktown) and Bennie Day (Charlestown, Ind./Jeffersonville) each garnered first-team all-HCAC recognition, which was announced by the conference on Monday.
Sanders earned all-conference honors for the second time in his career after being named to the All-HCAC Second Team in 2017. Reed, Henderson, Price, Reedy and Day each collected all-conference recognition for the first time.
During the HCAC regular season, Sanders went 42-for-108 with a .389 batting average. Sanders also racked up a .593 on-base percentage and an .815 slugging percentage. The graduate senior first baseman from Whiteland notched 11 home runs, 31 stolen bases, 56 runs, 37 walks, 20 hit by pitches, 11 doubles and 32 RBIs.
For the full season, Sanders went 47-for-127 with a .370 batting average. Sanders contributed 12 homers, 32 stolen bases, 60 runs, 40 walks, 22 hit by pitches, 12 doubles, two triples, a .571 on-base percentage and a .780 slugging percentage. He finished nationally ranked in several categories. Among NCAA Division III leaders, Sanders ranks T-3 in stolen bases, third in hit by pitches, T-4 in walks, T-5 in runs, 11th in hit by pitches per game (0.58), 12th in runs per game (1.58), 14th in stolen bases per game (0.84), 15th in walks per game (1.05), 16th in on-base percentage, T-21 in home runs and 41st in slugging percentage. Sanders leads the conference in home runs, stolen bases, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, hit by pitches, walks, hit by pitches per game and walks per game. Among HCAC leaders, Sanders ranks second in runs, second in runs per game and ninth in batting average. Sanders also recorded a .988 fielding percentage on 248 chances.
Sanders is the first player in program history to record 10 homers and 30 stolen bases in the same season. He currently holds the Anderson Division III career stolen base record with 70. Among Anderson Division III single-season record holders, Sanders ranks second in stolen bases and runs. He was also named to a D3basecall.com Team of the Week.
During the HCAC regular season, Reed went 57-for-153 with a .373 batting average. Reed tallied 19 doubles, 38 RBIs, 23 stolen bases and 36 runs. The sophomore shortstop from Martinsville posted a .455 on-base percentage and a .549 slugging percentage. For the full season, Reed finished 64-for-173 with a .370 batting average. Reed provided 21 doubles, 23 stolen bases, 44 RBIs and 40 runs. Among NCAA leaders, Reed ranks sixth in doubles, 25th in hits and 37th doubles per game. In the HCAC, Reed ranks first in doubles, third in stolen bases, third in hits, sixth in RBIs, eighth in runs and 10th in batting average. Reed is tied for second in program history with 21 doubles in a season.
During the HCAC regular season, Henderson went 5-1 with a 4.03 ERA. He struck out 52 batters, issued 27 walks, and allowed 38 runs (27 earned) on 61 hits in 60 and one-third innings. Henderson pit together a 1.46 WHIP. For the full season, Henderson finished 6-2 with a 3.77 ERA. Henderson fanned 60 batters, yielded 32 walks, and gave up 43 runs (32 earned) on 75 hits in 76 and one-third innings. The senior left-handed pitcher from Muncie produced a .247 opponent batting average and a 1.40 WHIP. Among HCAC leaders, Henderson ranks T-4 in wins, sixth in opponent batting average, seventh in ERA and T-9 in strikeouts. During the season, Henderson has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week and has twice been selected as the HCAC Pitcher of the Week.
During the HCAC regular season, Price went 45-for-141 with a .319 batting average. Price notched 18 stolen bases, 33 RBIs, 28 runs, 11 doubles and three homers. The senior second baseman from Anderson turned in a .405 on-base percentage and a ,489 slugging percentage. For the full season, Price went 52-for-163 with a .319 batting average. Price totaled 39 RBIs, 18 stolen bases, 32 runs, four homers and 11 doubles. He contributed a .392 on-base percentage and a .485 slugging percentage. Price ranked seventh in the HCAC in stolen bases.
During the HCAC regular season, Reedy finished 30-for-74 with .405 batting average. Reedy notched 21 runs, 19 RBIs, nine stolen bases and five doubles. The sophomore outfielder from Yorktown turned in a .477 on-base percentage and a .541 slugging percentage. For the full season, Reedy went 33-for-94 with a .351 batting average. Reedy tallied 24 runs, 20 RBIs, 10 stolen bases and six doubles. He put together a .427 on-base percentage and a .462 slugging percentage. Reedy was selected as the HCAC Hitter of the Week during the season.
During the HCAC regular season, Day went 25-for-95 with a .263 batting average. Day produced 21 runs, 14 stolen bases and 16 RBIs. The senior outfielder from Charlestown recorded a .346 on-base percentage and a .347 slugging percentage. For the full season, Day went 28-for-112 with a .250 batting average. Day tallied 23 runs, 14 stolen bases and 17 RBIs. He provided a .339 on-base percentage and a .321 slugging percentage. Day holds a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage for his career, recording 87 chances this season and 112 chances in his career. He is two chances shy of the school record for most career chances with a perfect fielding percentage.
