Wabash Secures Victory against Anderson
Wabash College secured a 3-0 victory against the Anderson University men's soccer team on Tuesday at the AU Soccer Fields.

David Riggs put Wabash College (4-3) on the board in the 18th minute with Coledon Johnson producing the assist.

Regan Frost (Yorktown, Ind./Yorktown) set up Daniel Collins (Jamestown, Ind./Western Boone) with a strong equalizing opportunity in the 41st minute, but Wabash goalkeeper Chad Wunderlich came up with a critical save. Collins put together another strong shot in the final minute of the first half that struck the crossbar.

Joseph Kaefer headed in a cross from Alexis Delgado 57 minutes into the match to put Wabash ahead 2-0. Jesus Rodrigo Del Real then finished a header from Abdoulie Waggeh with less than two minutes remaining in the match to give Wabash a three-score lead.

Collins notched three shots including two shots on goal. Frost, Race Williams (Fishers, Ind./Heritage Christian) and Drew Sonnefeldt (Lisle, Ill./Lisle) recorded shots on goal while the Ravens also received shots from R.J. Macomber (Marion, Ind./Marion), Noah Keller (Mount Vernon, Ind./Mount Vernon), Derek Thorpe (Cicero, Ind./Hamilton Heights), Nick Martin (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine), Malik Gayler (New Market, Ind./Southmont) and Antony Rodriguez (Lawrence, Ind./Lawrence North).

Jackson Etheridge (Finneytown, Ohio/St. Xavier) saved six of the nine shots he faced. Sean Cain (Monroe, Ohio/Monroe) and Martin each recorded team saves.

Wabash outshot Anderson 24-12 and held an 11-5 advantage in shots on goal.

The Ravens venture to Georgia for two matches this weekend. Anderson challenges Oglethorpe University (4-2), which is receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches (USC) poll, on Friday at 7 p.m. in Atlanta. The Ravens then tangles with Berry College (4-2-1) on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Mount Berry, Ga.
