Both teams remained deadlocked in a scoreless tie for the first 88 minutes of the match. With 1 minute, 19 seconds remaining, Cory Mitchell headed in a 35-yard free-kick pass from Ruben Gonzalez to put the Spartans (4-6-5, 3-1-3) ahead.
Usman Kamara put both of his shots on frame for the Ravens (5-8-2, 2-5). Jordan Bossman and Dalton Grubbs each finished with two shots and one shot on goal. Brendan Hall and Brayden Humbert both added a shot to round out Anderson's eight shots.
Danny Moro-Medina saved four of the five shots he faced.
Manchester held a 9-8 advantage in shots and a 5-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The Ravens take on Mount St. Joseph University (3-13-1, 1-5-1) in HCAC action on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Cincinnati.
