Anderson Battles Past Mount St. Joseph

The Anderson University men's soccer team (6-8-2, 3-5) battled past Mount St. Joseph University (3-14-1, 1-6-1) by a score of 3-2 during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Cincinnati.

Mount St. Joseph took a 1-0 lead, but Brendan Hall evened the score before halftime. The Lions regained the lead in the second half, but Sam Rowlison and Hall provided goals to seal a 3-2 victory. Hall finished the match with two goals.

COACH SCOTT FRIDLEY'S COMMENTS

• As we have put ourselves in a tough position trying to get into the tournament, we showed a little resilience [on Saturday], getting behind twice and finding a way to get three points we had to get. We hope to be playing for something Wednesday and hope to get some help along the way.
• I am so pleased for Brendan Hall; he scored two huge goals for us.
• Sam Rowlison had a great goal for us in a critical time of the game.
• The boys found a way and we are hopeful for the next game and see where we fall.
