Ravens Fend Off Grizzlies in Homecoming Match
The Anderson University men's soccer team fended off Franklin College with a 1-0 victory during Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup at the AU Soccer Fields.
Â
"I am very proud of the boys and their stick-to-it-ness," Coach Scott Fridley said. "They fought for 90 minute and finally got a goal. Since we changed our defense, we have gone almost 300 minutes without allowing a goal. So proud of the defense. We have a lot of soccer left and we just need to keep working together."

Daniel Collins (Jamestown, Ind./Western Boone) put the Ravens (5-8-2, 2-2-1) on the board by capitalizing off a pass from R.J. Macomber (Marion, Ind./Marion) in the 67th minute.
Â
Caleb Oliver (Marion, Ind./Marion) and Jackson Etheridge (Finneytown, Ohio/St. Xavier) recorded a combined shutout.
Â
Anderson outshot Franklin (4-12, 1-4) by a 20-5 margin and held a 7-0 advantage in shots on goal.
Â

Â
