Transylvania University handed the Anderson University men's soccer team a 4-0 loss during Sunday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Lexington, Ky.
The Pioneers (2-6-3, 1-3) outshot the Ravens (7-5-2, 0-3-1) by an 18-9 margin and held a 12-5 advantage in shots on goal.
Usman Kamara and Dalton Grubbs each finished with two shots and one shot on goal. Josh Martinez, Caleb Osborne and Drew Vaughn each put their only shot on frame. Stephen Fite and Samuel Maforikan both added shots.
Josh Brown started the first 45 minutes in goal and saved one of two shots. Blake Bobrow closed out at goalkeeper for the final 45 minutes and saved five of eight shots. Grubbs and Vaughn recorded a defensive save apiece.
The Ravens battle Defiance College (4-5-4, 1-1-2) in HCAC action on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Defiance, Ohio.
