Three Ravens Selected to Raven/Quaker Classic All-Tournament Team
Anderson University men’s soccer standouts Drew Vaughn (Beavercreek, Ohio / Beavercreek), Usman Kamara (Indianapolis, Ind. / Franklin Central) and Art Hinton IV (Indianapolis, Ind. / Covenant Christian) were each selected to the Raven/Quaker Classic All-Tournament Team.
Anderson University men's soccer standouts Drew Vaughn (Beavercreek, Ohio / Beavercreek), Usman Kamara (Indianapolis, Ind. / Franklin Central) and Art Hinton IV (Indianapolis, Ind. / Covenant Christian) were each selected to the Raven/Quaker Classic All-Tournament Team.
In addition to his all-tournament selection, Vaughn was also named the Defensive MVP. Vaughn recorded seven intercepts for the tournament, which consisted of three against Emory & Henry College (1-2) and a team-high four intercepts against Heidelberg University (3-0). He also assisted on Anderson's second goal against Emory & Henry, which was netted by Rico Mandolini (Perrysville, Ind. / Covington Community).
Kamara produced a goal for the Ravens after chipping a 30-yard shot against Emory & Henry during the second minute of the match. He finished the weekend with six shots and two shots on goal. Kamara contributed three shots and two shots on goal against Emory & Henry on Saturday and then added three shots against Heidelberg on Sunday. He paced the Ravens with three steals against Emory & Henry. Kamara added an intercept against Heidelberg.
Hinton IV played contributing roles on both side of the ball.
The Ravens challenge Greenville University in the Raven/Spartan Classic on Friday at 5 p.m. at the AU Soccer Fields. Anderson then challenges Webster University (2-1) on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the AU Soccer Fields.
