Kamara, Vaughn Sweep HCAC Athlete-of-the-Week Awards

Kamara was selected as HCAC Offensive Player of the Week while Vaughn was selected as HCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
The Ravens (3-3-2) went 2-0 last week. Anderson took down Adrian College (1-3) by a score of 3-0 on Monday in Adrian, Mich. The Ravens then crushed Moody Bible Institute (0-7) by a score of 9-0 on Thursday in Chicago.
Kamara notched three goals for six points on the week. He provided the game-winning goal against Adrian. Kamara then netted two goals against Moody Bible.
Vaughn helped lead Anderson's defense to two shutouts. The Ravens allowed just four shots and two shots on goal for the week. Anderson held Adrian to three shots and one shot on goal. The Ravens then limited Moody Bible to just one shot and one shot on goal.
Vaughn closed the week with three steals and six intercepts, while playing the full 180 minutes. The junior defender from Beavercreek, Ohio tallied two steals and four intercepts against Adrian. Vaughn then turned in a steal and two intercepts against Moody Bible.
Anderson kicks off the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) season by battling Franklin College (0-6, 0-0) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Franklin.
