Weinman V Garners HCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week Award

Anderson University men's soccer freshman Luke Weinman V garnered the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Defensive Player-of-the-Week award, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

The Ravens (1-0-1) went 1-0-1 in the Raven/Quaker Classic to repeat as classic champions. Anderson fought to a 1-1 tie with Blackburn College (0-0-2) on Friday at Fridley Field. The Ravens then battled past Illinois College (1-1) by a score of 2-1 on Saturday at Fridley Field.

Weinman V was named the Defensive MVP of the Raven/Quaker Classic. He recorded six steals, four intercepts and two blocked shots during the tournament.

Anderson faces off with Wilmington College (1-0-1) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Wilmington, Ohio.
