Kennedy Named HCAC Defensive Player of the Week

Anderson University men's soccer freshman Braydon Kennedy has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Defensive Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Monday.

The Ravens (4-4-1, 1-0) took down Hanover College (2-5-2, 0-1) by a score of 3-0 during Sunday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup at Macholtz Stadium. Anderson locked up the program's first win against Hanover since 2012.

Kennedy recorded an eight-save shutout for the Ravens. The freshman from Garrett also notched six intercepts for Anderson.

The Ravens continue HCAC action when they take on Mount St. Joseph University (1-6-1, 0-0-1) at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, in Cincinnati.
