Three Ravens Selected to All-HCAC Team
Three Anderson University men’s soccer players have been selected to the all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) team, which was announced by the conference on Thursday.
Three Anderson University men's soccer players have been selected to the all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) team, which was announced by the conference on Thursday.
Drew Vaughn garnered first-team all-HCAC honors while Jaxon Gillig received second-team all-HCAC recognition and Dalton Grubbs received all-HCAC Honorable Mention. All three players started on the defensive line that ranks third in the HCAC for conference-only goals against average (0.89) and overall goals against average (1.15). Anderson has posted eight shutouts this season, which is one shy of tying the school record of nine.

- Coach Scott Fridley's Comments – Where do you start with this young man? Drew has rewritten the records book and will leave as one of the most decorated players in our history. As a consistent conference performer, his leadership on and off the field will be missed. I am so proud of him and continued hard work to always be a top performer on the field. Another first-team selection is a great way to finish his career.

- Coach Scott Fridley's Comments – I am so proud of Jaxon and this honor from the conference coaches. Jaxon is a young man that shows up every day and outworks everyone. He has been a four-year cornerstone of our defense.

Moving into the midfield this year proves he is "Team First" as we needed his leadership there. We will miss Dalton.
