Anderson University men's soccer senior Drew Vaughn broke five career records throughout the 2024 season.
Throughout his career, Vaughn has amassed 245 intercepts, 14 saves in the field, 7,856 minutes played, 87 games played and 87 games started, breaking the school records in all five categories. Vaughn also tallied 133 career steals, which ranks fourth in school history.
"I can't say enough for Drew and his career here at AU," Coach Scott Fridley said. "He has been such an impactful young man for Anderson University and the soccer program. His leadership skills on and off the field have left a lasting impact on his teammates, coaches, program, and University. Drew has worked so hard to stay on the field the entire time he was here even through many injuries. He always puts his teammates ahead of himself and makes everyone around him better. The stats he has broken or ended up in the all-time top 5 really show his commitment to his game and being in great shape and taking care of his body. His Ironman (Minutes Played) and Games Started and played records may never be broken, but also really show the importance of reliability and durability. What is really impressive is Drew has spent his athletic career balancing diabetes along the way. He is an impressive young man and will be sorely missed."
