The Anderson University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) took part in the 4th Annual Trivia Night partnership between the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) and Special Olympics Indiana on Sunday.
Anderson finished fourth place during the event. Five participants from Special Olympics-Madison County joined Anderson SAAC representatives Noah LaBelle (SAAC President) and Tate Ivanyo (Men's Basketball) as well as Anderson SAAC Advisor Jennifer Myhre during the event.
"It's always a great evening to partner with Madison County Special Olympics and compete together against the HCAC schools," SAAC Advisor Jennifer Myhre said. "The Special Olympic athletes always look forward to these events and the camaraderie, fun and joy experienced by all was a win unto itself. We appreciate the conference coordinating these events."
"This was my fourth year participating with the trivia night and every year is such special time for me," SAAC President Noah LaBelle said. "It is extremely fun being able to compete with my fellow athletes (both collegiate and Special Olympians) against the schools in the conference. Their passion and joy are so contagious and it is impossible to leave the event without a smile. If you have never participated in a Special Olympic event, you have no idea the life changing experience you are missing out on."
