Manchester Outlasts Anderson in Double Overtime

Manchester University (8-12, 5-9) outlasted the Anderson University women's basketball team (10-10, 7-7) in double overtime 91-86 during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in North Manchester.

Brynn Beard dropped a career-high 22 points to lead the Ravens.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Manchester was awarded 38 free-throw attempts and made 27 (71.1 percent) of its attempts. Anderson went to the line 17 times and made 9 free throws (52.9 percent).
• The Spartans turned the ball over 17 times while the Ravens committed 10 turnovers. Anderson outscored Manchester 19-13 off turnovers and 16-9 on fast-break points.
• Anderson drained 11-of-38 (28.9 percent) shots from 3-point range while Manchester knocked down 4-of-17 (23.5 percent) attempts from the perimeter.
• The Spartans outrebounded the Ravens 45-41, but Anderson held a 12-9 advantage in second-chance points.
• Manchester converted 30-of-72 (41.7 percent) shots from the field while Anderson hit 33-of-87 (37.9 percent) attempts from the floor.
• Abigail Rosenkrans led the Spartans with 29 points and 13 rebounds.
