COACH SHADE'S COMMENTS
- I am really proud of the way we bounced back from last night. Both teams were tired and we knew it was going to take a collective effort for 40 minutes. We got outrebounded and sent them to the foul line too much. Those are two areas in which we have to be better, but I was really pleased with the way we took care of the ball.
- Our posts got in foul trouble early and both Carly [Holley] and Mariah [Clemons] stepped up on both sides of the ball.
- Allie [Owens] was much more aggressive offensively and she was able to put some pressure on their defense. We ran a set to her coming out of a timeout and she hit a big shot to tie the game late.
- The person who really stood out to me was Cassie Pallett. As a coach, it's rewarding to see someone like Cassie have success. She is one of those players who has been incredibly committed to our program, but hasn't gotten a ton of playing time. I thought Cassie provided crucial minutes at the point guard spot and did so without committing a turnover.
