Ravens Rally Past Belles
Behind a Lexi Dellinger 34-point game, the Anderson University women's basketball Ravens (1-4) picked up their first win of the 2021-2022 season over the St. Mary’s College (Ind.) Belles (1-5). After trailing at halftime, the Ravens came back to bring home an 83-75 victory over the Belles on Tuesday.

After trailing at halftime, the Ravens came back to bring home an 83-75 victory over the Belles on Tuesday.
Dellinger's 34-point game is now tied for eighth place for the most points in a single game in program history.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- During the first quarter, the Ravens went on a 9-0 run between 7:07-4:43 to take a 12-3 lead. During the remainder of the quarter, the Ravens took a 14-7 lead before the Belles were able to come back within one point to make it 14-13.
- Second quarter action saw the Belles take the lead and hold onto it. Anderson was able to tie the game up on two separate occasions, but were unable to get ahead of the Belles.
- At halftime, the Ravens trailed the Belles 42-38.
- It wouldn't be until 2:52 was left on the clock in the third quarter when the Ravens would take back the lead. Lexi Dellinger recorded a jump shot to put the Ravens up 55-54. The lead didn't last long as the Belles took the ball down the court for a layup, making it 56-55 in their favor.
- Anderson then closed out the quarter with a 10-0 run. It all started with two free throws made by Dellinger with 1:48 on the clock. Cassie Pallett hit a three for the Ravens 19 seconds later. With 58 seconds left on the clock, Dellinger gave the Ravens a 62-56 lead before Reece Colclesser closed out the quarter with a three.
- Although the Belles were able to come within one during the fourth quarter, the Ravens never lost their lead for the remainder of the game.
- The Belles began the fourth quarter with an 8-0 run, making the score 65-64 in favor of the Ravens.
- Anderson used the remainder of the game to extended their lead, ultimately taking an 83-75 victory over St. Mary's College (Ind.)
