Anderson Breaks Single-Game Blocks Record against Hanover
The Anderson University women’s basketball team broke the team single-game blocks record with 12 blocks during Saturday’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup against Hanover College in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

Payton Moore notched five blocks to lead the Ravens. Lexi Dellinger recorded four blocks of her own. Makynlee Taylor tallied two blocks and Brynn Beard added a block to round out Anderson's 12 blocks. The Ravens had previously had two games with 11 blocks with the most recent one coming against Defiance College on Jan. 29, 2020.
Hanover (5-4, 2-2) separated from Anderson (4-6, 1-2) in the fourth quarter with an 82-74 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ravens controlled the game early as they led Hanover 14-2 with 5 minutes, 27 seconds left in the first quarter.
- As the Panthers led 64-63 with 7:38 left in the fourth quarter, they put together a 15-2 run during the next 6:02 to take a 79-65 lead.
- Anderson doubled Hanover's turnovers, committing 20 turnovers in comparison to Hanover's 10. The Panthers outscored the Ravens 23-13 off turnovers.
- Hanover made 30-of-74 (40.5 percent) shots from the field while Anderson converted 27-of-64 (42.2 percent) attempts from the floor.
- The Ravens drained 11-of-28 (39.3 percent) shots from 3-point range while the Panthers hit 7-of-16 (43.8 percent) attempts from the perimeter.
- Anderson knocked down at least 11 3-pointers for the fifth time this season and for the ninth time in school history.
