On Wednesday in Hanover, the Anderson University women's basketball team fell short as the defensive pressure proved too much to handle for the Ravens. Hanover College (9-8,6-6) remained dominant from the tip to secure a 77-57 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference win against Anderson (9-10,6-6).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Panthers applied full court pressure from the jump. The pressure resulted in 12 first half turnovers for the Ravens.
- The Ravens were led by Payton Moore with 7 points in the first half.
- Anderson struggled from the field, shooting 38.5 percent (10-of-26) in the first half and 32.1 percent (9-of-28) the second half.
- Hanover continued to push the tempo throughout the second half resulting in a commanding 46-27 lead during the third quarter.
- Anderson attempted to rally in the middle of the third, but ultimately couldn't get past the defense of Hanover.
- The Ravens won the fourth quarter (16-15), but were unable to erase their deficit.
