Spotlight Raven Series: Hannah Hawkins (Women’s Basketball)
Hannah Hawkins is entering her senior season with the Anderson University women’s basketball team.
As a freshman, Hawkins was named to the All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Freshman Team. She blocked 1.81 shots per game, which ranked second in the conference. Hawkins also provided 10.4 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game.
During her sophomore year, Hawkins averaged 9.8 points. Among HCAC leaders, Hawkins finished tied for third in blocking (1.56), fourth in rebounding (7.8) and fifth in field-goal percentage (.500).
As a junior, Hawkins was tabbed the HCAC Defensive Player of the Year and received all-HCAC Honorable Mention. She led the conference and ranked 26th in the nation with 2.69 blocks per game. Among HCAC leaders, Hawkins ranked second in field-goal percentage and sixth in rebounding (7.3). She also notched 8.9 points per game. On Feb. 1, 2020, Hawkins blocked nine shots to blast the previous single-game blocking record of six.
During her career, Hawkins has posted averages of 9.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. She has converted 259-of-510 (50.8 percent) shots from the field. Hawkins holds the single-season and career blocking records in the Anderson NCAA Division III era.
