Anderson University women's soccer senior Lauren Brown has been selected as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.
The Ravens (1-0) fought past Indiana University South Bend (0-2) by a score of 3-2 on Saturday in Lakeville. Brown put the Ravens on the board with a goal in the ninth minute. She also played a key role in scoring Anderson's third and deciding goal. Brown registered back-to-back shots on goal. Her second shot was rebounded, which resulted in a third shot on goal. The third shot on goal was rebounded, which resulted in Marta Stender scoring the deciding goal for the Ravens.
Anderson takes on St. Mary-of-the-Woods College (1-2) on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
