Anderson Inducts 2024 Hall of Fame Class

During the ceremony, Anderson recognized Chris Jarrett '10, Cody Young '10, Dwayne Lockridge '06, Tracey (Kuhlmann) Martin '98 and the 1981 Volleyball Team.
Jarrett arrived on campus from Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, Ind. in the Fall of 2006 to compete in baseball for the Ravens. As a freshman, Jarrett belted 10 triples to lead NCAA Division III and break the single-season school record. Jarrett then earned second-team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) honors as a sophomore and first-team all-HCAC recognition as a junior. During his senior year, Jarrett racked up a .441 batting average and an .882 slugging percentage. As a senior he was tabbed the HCAC MVP. He also garnered American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) first-team all-region honors and then was selected as an ABCA second-team all-American. Jarrett was drafted in the 42nd round by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2010 MLB Draft.
Young came to Anderson from Delta High School in Muncie, Ind. in the Fall of 2006 to compete in baseball for the Ravens. He was selected as a first-team all-HCAC recipient as a sophomore and earned second-team all-HCAC recognition as a junior. As a senior, Young powered to a .482 batting average, a .532 on-base percentage and a single-season school record .982 slugging percentage. Young was selected as the Anderson Outstanding Senior Male Athlete. He collected first-team all-HCAC honors for the second time in his career. Young was drafted in the 47th round by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2010 MLB Draft.
Lockridge arrived on campus from Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis in the Fall of 2002 to compete in track and field for the Ravens. At the conference level, Lockridge took the conference title in both the shot put and hammer all four years. AU also secured the team conference titles in all four years of his career. As a junior, Lockridge took eighth place in the hammer at outdoor nationals to earn all-American honors. During his senior year, Lockridge collected all-American honors at indoor nationals, taking fourth in the weight throw. At the outdoor national meet, Lockridge received all-American recognition in two more events; he claimed fourth in the shot put with a throw and sixth in the hammer. He was named the Anderson Outstanding Senior Male Athlete. Lockridge still holds the HCAC record in the outdoor shot put with a distance of 17.45 meters.
Martin came to Anderson from Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix in the Fall of 1994 to compete in women's tennis for the Ravens. As a freshman, Martin competed at the No. 1 singles position. She earned all-Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference (ICAC) honors in singles as both a freshman and sophomore. She advanced to the championship match of the No. 1 Singles ICAC Tournament as a sophomore. As a junior, Martin locked up the No. 1 Singles ICAC Tournament title and was tabbed the ICAC MVP. After making several comebacks throughout the year, Martin was also named the ICAC Mental Attitude Winner as a junior. As a senior, Martin received all-ICAC honors for the fourth time in her career for singles and for the first time in her career for doubles. She then repeated the sweep of becoming the No. 1 Singles ICAC Tournament champion and ICAC MVP. Martin was selected as the Anderson Outstanding Senior Female Athlete.
The 1981 Volleyball Team captured the Indiana Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women state tournament title. Entering the postseason with a 20-11 overall record and a 4-1 conference record, the Ravens secured four wins in a row to win the state tournament. Anderson earned wins against Hanover College and St. Mary's College (Ind.) before locking up consecutive wins against Purdue College. The Ravens won a match at the regional tournament, before finishing the season 25-13. Jackie Determan and Lori Ball each earned all-state honorable mention. Ball was selected to the state all-tournament team while Linda Beck was named the team's MVP. Determan, Ball and Coach Becky Hull are current members of the Anderson Athletics Hall of Fame.
