Anderson University women’s basketball junior Izzy Davis earned Beth Baker Classic all-tournament honors, which was announced on Saturday.
Anderson University women's basketball junior Izzy Davis earned Beth Baker Classic all-tournament honors, which was announced on Saturday.
Davis led the Ravens in scoring in both games during the classic. The junior from Indianapolis gave Anderson (2-1) the lead with a basket two times in the final minute of Saturday's win against North Park University (0-4). Davis put Anderson ahead 75-74 with a layup with 32 seconds and then proceeded to ice Anderson's 77-76 win with two free throws with three seconds remaining.
COACH JON GIN'S COMMENTS
Izzy Davis had a great tourney. Offensively, she was dynamic at getting in the paint and creating good looks for us. She really put in the work this offseason and battled through some injuries. It's awesome to see her hard work pay off and I'm excited to see what else she can do for us this season.
