The Anderson University athletics department released its new PrestoSports website, which became viewable to the public on Tuesday.
"We are pleased to introduce the newly-designed AU Athletics website," Athletic Director Marcie Taylor said. "The website is an important way for us to highlight the many accomplishments of our student-athletes, coaches and teams. I'm grateful for the great work done by Sports Information Director Aaron Schneider to make this a reality."
The new website preserves the strengths of the previous website, which include the social media components, the one-step access navigation menus on the main page and the Raven Athletes of the Week feature.
One of the new features on the website is a new scoreboard that uses a single-scroll function that is more user friendly. The website has also seen the additions of the "Countdown to Next Event" feature as well as the incorporation of parallax photos into the design of the main page the sport homepages.
"I'm excited for the unveiling of our new athletics website," Sports Information Director Aaron Schneider said. "In addition to receiving a more user-friendly scoreboard, the new website consists of outstanding aesthetics, eye-popping parallax photos and a 'Countdown to Next Event' feature, all of which really elevate the website and bring in some resemblance to websites of top-level institutions. I want to thank PrestoSports project managers Sarah Elliott and Bryan Plocker for their hard work and adaptiveness on this redesign, which brought the website to another level."
